SIX organisations from across Sedgemoor are to receive a Community Health Fund grant from Sedgemoor District Council.
The grants, of up to £1000 each came from a one-off budget of up to £7000, which was available for health-focused projects within Sedgemoor.
Successful projects include promoting physical activity, healthy eating and weight management.
Applications were judged against set criteria by Teresa Harvey, group manager; Cllr John Swayne; portfolio holder for Community and Scrutiny and Cllr Ian Tucker, shadow portfolio holder for Community and Scrutiny from Sedgemoor District Council.
The six organisations were Burnbridge Wanderers FC, Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, Nether Stowey Wraparound Care Club, Burnham Town Team, Burnham Food and Drink Festival and Dance Fit.
