THESE youngsters proved you don’t have to visit an exotic foreign country – or even leave Sedgemoor – to have a go at scuba diving.
Eight air cadets from 65 (Bridgwater & District) Squadron Air Training Corps snapped up the chance to take part in a scuba diving taster session at Quantock Lodge swimming pool near Nether Stowey.
They were given a full safety briefing before taking the plunge, and completing a PADI taster dive programme.
Cadet Charlotte Arend, 15, described it as an “amazing experience”.
The cadets meet every Monday and Wednesday, from 7.15pm to 9.30pm, at the cadet centre off Friarn Avenue, in Bridgwater.
For more information, email OC.65@aircadets.org, visit the centre, or call during the times above on 01278-446403.
The group is also on Facebook under ’65 Squadron’.
