MORE than 200 runners showed their support for Cancer Research UK by pounding the pavement for this year's Bridgwater Half Marathon and 5k Fun Run.
This year's seasoned entrants ran from Morganian's Rugby Club in Chedzoy Road to just outside Moorlynch and back.
There was also a 5k Fun Run which proved popular with families and fundraisers alike. People living in the surrounding villages will have looked twice to see one group of runners charging along with ironing boards strapped to their backs in aid of Leukaemia Research.
The run was organised by Bridgwater and District Friends of Cancer Research UK and Bridgwater's own Ramblers Carnival Club.
The run is also a RunBritain-licensed event, allowing runners to register their times and see their ranking on a national scale.
