A POT of £65,000 has been made available to help tackle domestic violence and sexual exploitation of children in Somerset.

The cash has been given to the county council by the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner.

Council leader John Osman said: “The award will help us carry on the hard work that we have already done to protect our communities.

“We work closely with the police and other agencies to make sure information regarding offenders is shared, victims are supported and offending is tackled."
