A THEATRE group in Bridgwater has raised £4,000 for a charity which helped one of its members.
A.C.T.S raised the cash for CLIC Sargent from a charity performance of various songs and snippets from its past shows.
Val King, who runs the group with her husband, Alan, said: “We put on the show in November in aid of the ‘small steps’ initiative launched by one of our members, Libby Heal, after she was diagnosed with cancer.”
The Mercury reported Libby, from Bower Manor, needed 15 units of blood after a successful operation to remove a six kilo germ cell cancer tumour from her ovary.
Junior members of A.C.T.S will be performing again on March 15 and 16 in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Call 01278-455138 for tickets.
