AWARD-WINNING company Ballet Cymru will be bringing an extraordinary adaptation of Shakespeare's masterpiece Romeo a Juliet to Bridgwater.

Intense fighting, passionate duets and universal themes echo through dramatic and lyrical choreography.

Exquisite costumes and extraordinary video projections create a world of danger and excitement where two young lovers are caught in an age old feud.

Romeo a Juliet is a dynamic and unique collaboration between three of Wales’ outstanding arts organisations, Ballet Cymru, Coreo Cymru (The Dance Creative Producer for Wales) and The Riverfront Theatre in Newport.

From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life.

The ballet features costumes by Georg Meyer-Wiel who studied at The Royal College of Art and has created costumes for some of the world’s leading companies including Rambert Dance Company and Australian Dance Theatre.

It has had high acclaim from those who have watched it and was the 2014 winner of the Best Large Scale Dance Production at the Wales Theatre Awards 2014.

The performance will be coming to Bridgwater's The McMillan Theatre on Friday, November 11.

The performance starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £20 are available now.

Tickets are £15 for students, those who are retired and those under 16.
