CELEBRATE ST. Patrick's Day at The McMillan Theatre, Bridgwater with the amazing Craobh Rua, (pronounced Crave Ru-ah), which means red branch, in Irish, on March 18, 7.30pm.
The evening promises to be a very special and compelling celebration of traditional Irish music and song.
Expect a rich sound, acoustically driven, mixing rousing jigs, reels and polkas with tender ballads and
airs.
Craobh Rua, who are from Belfast, perform music driven by uillean pipes, fiddle, whistles, and the exciting banjo and mandolin playing of group founder Brian Connolly, with passionate vocals from Jim Rainey. The band has released six albums to date and performed all around the world, from Canada to Bulgaria to Slovenia.
