Their bitter feud has lasted nearly a decade.
But it seems pop stars Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Lily Allen might have finally put their differences behind them as they cosied up for a photo together at the British Fashion Awards.
With their arms around each other, the duo looked like close gal pals at the party at the London Coliseum, not former “enemies”.
In the unexpected snap, Cheryl, 32, posed in a sheer custom Topshop dress next to Lily, 30, wearing a metallic blue Chanel dress and blue jacket.
The two fell out in 2006 when Lily wrote a B-side song for her album called Cheryl Tweedy – Chezza’s maiden name – where she claimed no one wanted to look like Cheryl, “they just think they do”.
In response, Cheryl branded Lily a “chick with a d***” and Lily hit back with an open letter in which she called her a “stupid b****”.
Lily wrote: “Cheryl, if you’re reading this, I may not be as pretty as you, but at least I write and sing my own songs without the aid of Auto-Tune.
“I must say, taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying, your mother must be so proud.”
But the Hard Out Here singer offered an olive branch last year to Cheryl, when she said she regretted their verbal spats in Q magazine.
“I wish that whole thing hadn’t happened. I like Cheryl.
“She’s good on The X Factor, she’s pretty and she’s got balls. I like women who do well.”
