Profile:

I have had a varied employment history, starting off as a trainee herbalist on leaving school. I studied natural remedies, alternative therapies and retail management, which led to being made a fellow of the institute of health food retailing. During this time I helped promote mental and physical wellbeing through radio interviews, lectures to women’s groups and media interviews.
I completely changed my career some twenty years ago following a move to the West Country. I entered catering as a trainer, mentor working for a multi-national firm. I went on to win National Employee of the year. I was a regional trainer for brand standards, health and safety, enjoying coaching and counselling for a team member who did not have English as a first language.
I have now taken early retirement and want to put something back in to this community. I am a keen dog walker and I see and hear first-hand some of the issues our residents have.
Since moving to Burnham on Sea I have come to appreciate the town and its wonderful natural assets. I would like in my own small way to help Burnham raise its profile locally and nationally as a wonderful place to visit.
If elected I would try to promote the interests of the town to the best of my ability.
