I AM currently a Bridgwater Town Councillor for Wyndham Ward and I was formerly the County Councillor for Bridgwater West between May 1997-2001.

I was also one of the three Sedgemoor District Councillor for the then Quantock Ward from May 1995-199.

I was honoured to be the Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council from April 1998-May199 and Vice Chairman for the previous two years.

I (and my wife Janet) have both lived in West Bridgwater and Durleigh for all (except 1½ years) of our lives.

We have two adult daughters who attended St Marys and Haygrove School.

I worked for South West Gas for over 20 years and set up my own business Bridgwater Gas Tech, in 1986, retiring and passing on to one of my engineers in 2012.

Known at Bridgwater and Albion RFC as Spike, I am also a member of the Bridgwater Cricket Club, Somerset Trust for Nature Conservation, the RSPB, that National Trust and I am Chairman of the Bridgwater-Homberg Link Society.

Since retiring, in my spare time I am an avid Bridge player.
