Somerset County Council (Various Roads Stoke St Gregory) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) (Special Events) Order 2019 (Stoke Stampede)
Notice is hereby given that Somerset County Council intends to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the effect of which is to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions in Stoke St Gregory as detailed in the Schedule detailed in this Order. This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of December 2019 and shall remain in force for eighteen months. The effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of vehicles in the road specified in the Schedule to this Order. The restrictions shall apply when indicated by traffic signs.
The event is expected to take place on the 5th day of January 2020 between the hours of 10:30 to 13:00.

Temporary prohibition of vehicles Between 1030 and 1300 hours on Sunday 5th January 2020
Dark Lane, Stoke St Gregory - From its junction with Church Close to its junction with Church Road.
Church Road, Stoke St Gregory - From its junction with Huntsman Lane for a distance of 50 metres in a south easterly direction. Huntsman Lane, Stoke St Gregory - From its junction with Church Road to its junction with Willey Road.
Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
