IN a time when we are constantly asked to wash our hands when we visit hospital toilets etc, could we please ask that shop assistants and management do not lick their fingers when asking a customer, “would you like a bag?”
It is very annoying when someone has licked his or her finger to get a carrier bag open and then place your food shopping in it.
Over the past few months I have been to various shops, including supermarkets, chemists and bakeries, and they have all done it.
Please stop.Use a wet sponge pad, not your fingers.
We may have a healthier nation by not passing on germs.
