CONSERVATIVE Ian Liddell-Grainger has been re-elected as the MP for Bridgwater and West Somerset.
In a reversal of their positions in 2005, the LibDems moved up to second in the polls, and Labour were a distant third. The results, which have just been announced, are: Ian Liddell-Grainger (Cons) - 24,675; Kathy Pearce (Lab) - 9,332; Theo Butt Philip (LibDem) - 15,426; Peter Hollings (UK Independence Party) - 2,604; Charles Graham (Green Party) - 859; Donna Treanor (British National Party) - 1,282; Bob Cudlipp (Independent) - 315.
