Woolworths staff bid farewell to popular store

STAFF at Woolworths in Eastover have bid farewell to the store as it closed its doors for good yesterday after years of being a prominent fixture in the town.

Shoppers took full advantage of the last-minute price reductions in the store throughout the day while some expressed their sadness at its closure.

As the doors were locked for the last time, the 20-strong Woolies staff toasted the occasion with a glass of champagne and said their final goodbyes.
