MORE than a hundred people gathered in Bridgwater’s Kings Square this morning to pay their respects to those who died in the First World War and conflicts since then.
Mayor Graham Granter was present to pay his respects along with Second World War veterans at the Armistice ceremony around the town’s cenotaph.
Poppy wreaths were laid beside the names of those that lost their lives during the conflicts of the First and Second World Wars.
Those who attended the ceremony perfectly observed the minute’s silence at 11am perfectly as they took time to reflect on those who have died fighting for their country.
