CRICKET: Applications wanted for 'Small Grants Scheme'

THE Somerset Cricket Board has been allocated a budget of £15,000 for 2012 under the England and Wales Cricket Trust Small Grants Scheme which is now in its second year.

The grants must be for a minimum of £200 and a maximum of £4,000 with at least 50% matched funding.

Clubs that were successful in receiving funding through the scheme in 2011 will not be eligible to apply this year.

The process for 2012 is a lot simpler than it was last year and all clubs will be required to do is complete a simple application form and accompany it with a quote for submission to: Brian Hoyle, The Somerset Cricket Board, The County Ground.

The SCB say they will endeavour to support as many worthy projects as possible.

Applications should be submitted to the SCB along with a competitive quotation by Friday, March 9. The national deadline for applications to be processed is Friday, June 1.
