SOMERSET’S Craig Kieswetter and Pete Trego have been named in the England Lions squad for the month tour to Dubai in February.
Kieswetter, 22, who scored four centuries and made 1,242 runs at an average of 59 in the Championship last season, played for South Africa in the Under-19 World Cup in 2005-06.
The highly-rated keeper-batsman has chosen to commit his international future to England, however, and becomes eligible in February.
Trego, meanwhile, has been one of the top English all-rounders in the first-class game for several seasons and, late last year, was chosen played for England in the Hong King sevens.
