SOMERSET County Cricket Club have announced their matchday ticket prices for next season, with a notable increase in the cost of watching T20 cricket.

Advance tickets in category A seats (Somerset Pavilion elevated, Colin Atkinson Pavilion, Marcus Trescothick Stand) will now cost £37.50 in advance and £40 on the gate.

Category B seats (Somerset Pavilion Lower, Sir Ian Botham Stand) are £32.50 in advance and £35 on the gate, while a Category C spot (Somerset Stand, Ondaatje Stand, Priory Bridge Stand) will set supporters back £27.50 in advance and £30 on the gate.

In 2017, an advanced seat in the Somerset Pavilion cost £30 and elsewhere in the ground was £22, or £25 for allocated seating.

The club have introduced a student ticket band across all competitions, while the cost of junior tickets for T20 matches are £10, £7 and £5 for categories A, B and C respectively.

County Championship ticket prices are unchanged (£13 in advance, £18 on the gate), as are Royal London One-Day Cup matches (£20 in advance, £25 on the gate).

The news follows the changes to the club's membership structure, which has now been split into 'Club membership' (Championship & One-Day Cup) and a separate T20 membership - leading to price rises for supporters who wish to watch all formats - as the shortest form of the game continues to differentiate itself as a product.

The deadline for early bird membership prices is February 5 - click here for more information.

Somerset's AGM is on Monday evening (7.30pm) in the Colin Atkinson Pavilion at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
