CENTURIES from David Hussey (125) and Michael Lumb (107) ensured Somerset endured a long day in the field at Trent Bridge as Nottinghamshire rattled up 378-7 as the last round of County Championship matches got under way.
However both teams remain well placed to avoid the drop at the expense of Derbyshire who began the day 16 points behind Somerset and 15 behind Notts.
Derbyshire asked Warwickshire to bat first at Derby but saw the opposition reach 285-8 by the close.
