Premier League
Somerset Rebels 52, Plymouth Devils 41
THE Rebels claimed bragging rights over rivals Plymouth this week thanks to excellent rides from Jason Doyle and Kyle Newman.
Newman came of the first two heats in blistering form as the Rebels claimed maximum 5-1 wins to take a 10-2 lead.
At the halfway point, Plymouth had fought back to trail by eight points at 25-17 after Tom Perry and James Wright secured further first place finishes.
But two more wins for Newman along with three first place finishes for Australian Doyle wrapped up a comfortable win for the Rebels.
The team take on Sheffield on Friday at the Oaktree Arena. Tapes go up at 7.30pm.
