Despite making inroads into the Okehampton half, they were unable to break the defence and score.
Both sides defended well in the second half but North Petherton were forced to play the last 15 minutes of the game with 14 men after Harris was forced off through injury and the visitors had used all their replacements.
North Petherton continued to play well but were unlucky to give away a penalty. Okehampton scored a converted try in the last attack of the game to bring the final score to 20-0.
North Petherton are at home against Penryn on Saturday and are hoping for a big crowd to support the team for the first home game of the season.
