Celebrations at North Petherton's end-of-season awards

PLAYERS from North Petherton Rugby Club were in celebratory mood at their end of season trophy presentation.

105 people attended the dinner evening, which saw Matthew Angel receive the Swan Cup for being named first team player of the year.

Sam Tozer was the recipient of the Kevin Vickery Memorial Cup for being the second team player of the year while Kevin Gray scooped the Willow Cup for being named third team player of the year.

The Taff Rees Memorial Cup for the vet's team player of the year went to Russell Potter and Connor Potter picked up the Harry Gibbs Memorial Cup after being named the colt's team player of the year.

Bill Frost and John Evans were given the special honour of being made life members during the celebration evening.

Most improved player - Bridge Tyres and Wheels: Jamie Adams

Committee person of the year - The Whitbread Trophy: Tony Crocker

Person deserves recognition - The Thom Hollinghurst Memorial Cup: Andrew Searle

The club member of the year - The Acorns Trophy: Paul Fleming and Albert Stringer

Players' Player - The Con Allen Cup: Matthew Angel

Young players horns: Dan Pearce

First team tankard: Chris Burge

Second team tankard: Harley Brown

Third team tankard: Jason Collard

Colts tankard: Craig Salter
