Morganians 60, Minehead 10

MORGANIANS played their final game of the season at home to Minehead and a fantastic team performance gave them the well-deserved and needed win to secure tenth position in the table, but also enabled them to finish above league and town rivals Bridgwater and Albion.

Minehead took the lead with a converted penalty within the firstfive minutes butthis didn’t affectthe Morgs players as they went on to controlthe game.

After 20 minutes, Royston Grimstead scored the first of his four tries of the game.

Two more tries from Grimstead and one from the scrum-half Matt Winter and centre James Fox gave Morgs a 29-3 half-time lead.

After the break, Morgs’ dominance continued with Will Hopkins, Jeremy McBain, Jason Richards and Royston Grimstead adding further tries, with James Fox converting.

Minehead did pull a try back just before the final whistle butit was too little too late.
