BOTH young teams played a fluid game with some destructive tackling but Pethy held the edge with the forwards supplying quick ball.
The home team attacked through their forwards but were met with hard hitting from the visiting back row.
Pethy responded positively and scored two quick tries through George Halsely and Connor Doyle – Ben Freeman converted one to give a 12-0 lead.
Pethy began to play with more confidence and move the ball through the backs.
In the last ten minutes of the half, Pethy scored two more tries through Jack Coles and Lewis Allen, Freeman converting one.
Minehead countered with one of their own bfore the break.
Pethy set off at break-neck speed in the second half and a quick try from AJ extended the lead. The Pethy backs made another opportunity which Luke Anning exploited and Freeman converted.
The next move down the backline saw Ethan Longhurst show his speed to dart over, Freeman again converted.
The final try was set by the forwards who supplied quick ball to Freeman who ghosted through the cover to score and convert to complete the Pethy scoring.
Minehead never gave up and crossed the Pethy line once more but were held up three more times as Pethy held firm.
