BRIDGWATER’S Colts side exited the National Colts Cup after suffering a 33-0 defeat to a strong Weston Hornets team.

Hornets Hornets showed their intent with early tries and offloaded in the tackle area extremely well. There were relatively few rucks and plenty of possession for them as a result and Bridgwater were constantly stretched. Bridgwater's sustained pressure before half time should have led to points but ended with a knock on, a clearance kick, a turned over lineout and a further try for the visitors and again offloading and missed tackling played a major part.

The visitors scored a further two tries and deserved their win and they now play in the National Colts Plate on a date yet to be announced.
