Bridgwater and Albion are staging a special tribute match on Sunday (May 30) in memory of two Dirt Tracker players who passed away last year.
The match will be between Bridgwater and Albion's Dirt Trackers XV and a District Select XV in memory of Dean Cheffey and Trevor Field, who passed away unexpectedly and tragically in May and August 2009 respectively.
The select XV will feature Dean and Trevor's former colleagues, both from Albion, North Petherton, Morganians and other clubs.
Both players learned their rugby as colts with Bridgwater and Albion before making their way into the club's senior teams.
Trevor also had spells with North Petherton during his long career, which spanned almost 40 years.
It is hoped this event will become an annual memorial.
The match takes place at Bridgwater and Albion's College Way ground and kick off is at 3pm. Admission is free and food and drinks will be available. A fundraising raffle and auction will be held in aid of charities chosen by the families of Dean and Trevor.
