BRIDGWATER and Albion coach Simon Morrell is hoping for a big crowd as his side host 11th-placed Bideford (ko 2.15pm), who won the reverse fixture 35-22.

Morrell said: “We are all really looking forward to playing Bideford.

“When we went there earlier in the season we felt that we didn’t do ourselves justice, because we had the game and then lost it in the last 10 minutes, so we won’t be holding back.

“It’s perfect for us to be at home to end the first half of the season, so let’s hope for a nice big crowd and a really strong performance.”

Morrell was not too disheartened by the 55-12 defeat at Okehampton last weekend.

He said: “We gave them a head start in the opening few minutes and never recovered.

“They were exceptional and well done to them.

“A scoreline like that happens in this league, and if you don’t get it quite right then you can easily have 50 points put on you.

“It will do the inexperienced players no harm at all in learning what life is like playing away against a side like that.”

Elsewhere in the division, North Petherton will be looking to build on last weekend's home win over Clevedon, though they face a stern test at second-placed Drybrook.

Pethy's hosts have lost just once this season as they battle it out with Exeter University at the top of the table.

Morganians travel to table-topping Bristol Barbarians in Somerset One, in which North Petherton 2nds host Bath Old Edwardians.

Struggling Bridgwater & Albion 2nds go to Old Redcliffians 2nds in Somerset Premier, while the 3rds are at Martock in Somerset Two South.
