BRIDGWATER and Albion Under 12's rugby team pictured played against Gordano Rugby club on Sunday as they won 45 – 10.

It was a hard game with injuries all round but the team pulled together and walked away winner, man of the match was Lewis Dowds.

The team finished last year’s season with five players and with a change of management and well trained coaches and with word of mouth and all round sportsmanship the club team has now grown to a very strong 18 dedicated players who turn up every weekend to play fairly and enjoy the tough game of rugby.

Following their good success this season in winning games for the club the team are now proud to have all their training kit sponsored by Nigel Higgs from N.R.Higgs Builders and Daves Diners, from Bridgwater.

The players of the team would like to thank both companies for their support.

The team are next at home this Saturday against a team from Wales before performing a guard of honour for the first team game.

They are then on tour in Wales on May 18 and 19 – all of which was funded by various bag packing sessions at supermarkets in Bridgwater and other fundraising activites.

The team also thanked Gerber Juices for donating crates of juice for their matches.
