The same away blues continued at Clevedon where the home team had a convincing 6-1 victory.

The only contributors from Enmore being David Pascoe and Chris Topps, who won one up, while Keith Norcutt and Ray Hancock provided the half.

However, Long Ashton brought much better news to the tired travellers where Enmore triumphed 6-2.

Captain for the day, Keith Norcutt along with Peter Robinson recorded a win by 3&1; Bob Burton and Ray Hancock were 3&1 victors whilst the final point was gained by John Coleman and John Patterson finishing one up on their opponents.

More away travel to Wells is to come before a series of fixtures on home soil commences with a match against Lyme Regis.

Normal away service was resumed as Enmore Seniors travelled to Wells. On a day when all the games were spoilt by a violent hail shower towards the end of play, Enmore suffered yet another heavy away defeat losing 7-1 to the cathedral city hosts.

Enmore’s sole point was won by Jefferson Horsley and partner Graham Pain who wobbled from a five up lead with six to play to win one up at the 18th.

Enmore now have two home fixtures against Lyme Regis and Mendip clubs with which to regain some form.

The men’s B team secured a drawn match away to Worlebury with wins for Rob Fear/Chris Marsh and Peter Hanlon/ Derek Kelly. Doug Read/ David Gwynne-Jones and Tim Woodley/Paul Martin halved their matches whilst the remaining pairs of team Captain Ken Doig/Nigel Wixon along with David Weston/ Kevin Davies both narrowly lost resulting in a 3-3 draw.
