BOTH teams made a slow start resulting in a quarter time score of 7-7.
With most of Emeralds players playing their second match of the day, they took time to settle down but, with interceptions by Sandy Hocking, Emily Hoare and Kerry Clarke, managed to pull ahead at half time only 13-11 to Emeralds.
Some changes were made to the team bringing on Beth Fella but Robins’ defence kept shooters Roxy McDowell and Lynne Cornish fighting for any goals scored but Emeralds stayed ahead by one goal leading 22-21 into the final quarter.
Further changes seemed to work for Emeralds with the centre court of Sammie Brown, Mikki Hole and now Emily Hoare at WD. Lynne Cornish and Roxy McDowell started to find goal and, with a very hard-fought game, were able to increase their lead and take the match.
Players of match were Sandy Hocking and Lynne Cornish.
