BRIDGWATER schoolboy Teaken Prior has scooped the Best Boxer Award 2010 at his training club.
The 13-year-old Chilton Trinity Technology College student was handed the trophy at the Wells ABC presentation evening in nearby North Wootton.
Trainers Liam White and Bill McConnel said in a joint statement: “Teaken, our youngest boxer, has shown outstanding talent with eight wins this season.
“Included in his wins, Teaken has won three title fights in the National Championships.
“This places Teaken fourth in England for his weight and age.
“Also this season, Teaken technically knocked out one of his opponents and gave three others standing counts.
“Teaken has a tremendous talent that gets better - very well done Teaken.”
Meanwhile Wells Boxing Club held a charity event earlier in the season and raised £1,370.
The cheque was given to the Children's Hospice South West during the club's presentation evening.
