BRIDGWATER rider TJ Toms' Team Repli-Cast UK Racing finished their first test of the season in fine style at the Circuit of Cartagena by achieving team record lap times, something they have been striving for after entering this Pro-Test for the last 18-years.

Max Cook and TJ Toms got to grips with their newly liveried HRC prepared Honda Moto3’s at a scorching hot Circuito Cartagena in Spain as preparations for the 2016 HEL Motostar Championship got underway.

They worked on their set up over the course of the four days, in a bid to improve the consistency of their lap times in race conditions. T

he team were overwhelmed with how much more advanced the machines were which was completely justified from all their hard work and preparation over the winter months.

Both Max and TJ were producing stunning lap times, a great indication of this was that they were able to run with the front runners from last years championship, proving that we have a strong line up for this year.

Storm Stacey got to grips with his Standard Honda Moto3, he immediately started the test with unbelievable lap times, topping the timesheets. Working on race-rubber for the entire duration, the 12-year-old racer was pleased with his Standard Honda powered machine’s development over the past four-days having found a setting that allows him to improve the lap-time on new tyres.

Looking to evaluate the 2016 engine regulations, the team worked hard all weekend to conclude the four day test very satisfied with the development so far, knowing that there is more to come from the parts that are awaiting to go onto the two open class machines.

TJ said: "Not a great start to the test but I quickly found my feet, the bike was fantastic and felt better than last year. I was working on bringing my lap times down and ended up doing that, so i'm happy!"
