ADRIAN Foster took the honours at the Enmore Park Captain’s Day with the best round of the day.

Foster scored 43 points playing off 15 and played the front nine holes in one over gross, taking just just 11 putts.

Jason Harris topped Division One with an impressive 40 points, while Matt Kippen was second with 39 points (gross 67).

Division Two was won by David Selway on 39 points after putting nicely with his new putter.

Runner-up was Martin Nelson on 38 points keeping the ball in play.

Division Three was won by Paul Henson on 38 points and runner-up was David Izard.

The ladies Silver category was won by Julie Ingram on 37 points and the bronze by Kathryn Botha also on 37.

The afternoon nine-hole afternoon stableford was won by Daphne Priddy (best lady) with 22 points while Brian Parker was the best man with 19 points.

In the ladies American foursomes event, played on June 20 and 24, two teams came in with 42 points to top the leader board, with the pairing of Hilary Cockcroft and Lorraine Taylor coming out on top.

Alison Marchant and Jo Wyatt missed out on countback to finish in second place, one ahead of third placed Mel Millar and Ruth Maclennan.

Bob Kippen won the Stableford on June 23 with a solid 41 points, three ahead of Dave Keates and Peter Webber in second and third places, respectively.

Also on Tuesday was the most recent Club Day where the best two scores counted.

Two teams came in with 86 points, but snatching victory courtesy of countback were A Tew, T King and R Butcher ahead of M Clapp, G Cook and D Winn.

The ladies nine-hole stableford was won by Patricia Hill with 17 points, two ahead of Sally Hale in second.

The same day saw the men play a nine-hole stableford and it was Paul Webber whose 19 points came out on top. Two golfers followed on 18, namely Keith Jarvis and Greg Taylor.

In the Somerset Bowl Enmore's men progressed to the quarter-final with a comfortable 4-1 win against last year's winners, Worlebury.

There were wins for Craig Lazenby and Scott Bellinger, Paddy Maclennan and Craig Wright, Callum Tompkins and Ron Brown, Fred Henderson and Adam Wright whilst skipper Rob Fear and Ian Lane were only defeated by Worlebury's 1 and 3 handicappers on the 18th.

They meet Burnham & Berrow in the next round.
