Neptune 34, Parkfield 27

A CLOSELY contested match kept Neptune on their toes throughout the entire game.

Defenders Lucy Brown (GK) and Sally Haysham (GD) applied constant pressure, ensuring that Parkfield shooters had a tough time scoring.

Centre court saw some speedy accurate passing down the court from Hazel Hucker (WD) to Olivia Shorthouse (WA) who made an outstanding debut performance for Neptune.

Shooters Darcie Dunn (GA) and Kayleigh Haste (GS) stayed strong receiving accurate feeds from Chris Durrant (C) against some tough Parkfield defence ensuring a well deserved win 34-27.

Venus 70, Emeralds 9

VERSATILE Venus proved their strength in depth today during the local derby with Emeralds.

Immediate strong attacking play from centre court players Chloe Trout (C) and Cerys Etheridge (WA) with good feeding to shooters Juste (GS) and Hannah Setter (GA) allowed Venus to dominate the first quarter 15-2.

The introduction of player of the match Hannah White - and a swap around in centre court added to the fluidity and positivity of this Venus team.

Strong and steady defending from Emily Harwood (GK) and Hana Middleton (GD) and Bex Dunn (WD) continued to deny Emeralds and the score was 29-4 at half-time.

After a final change around on court, Venus continued to drive right up until the final whistle.

Mercury 5, Robins 35

WITH a new line up, Mercury started the match slowly - despite some great feeds from Hannah Sayer (WA) they were unable to rattle top of the table Robins ending the first half down 21-2.

The second-half saw many interceptions made by Ronnie Borowska (GK) and Lauren Cook (GD) who were working hard together and gaining turnovers. 

Great communication and passing down the court by player of the match Lauren Cook (GD) and Lucy Kyte (WD) - followed up with some accurate feeding by Laura Gibson (C) and Charlotte Setter (WA) to the shooters Leah Davis (GA) and Flora Horrox (GS) to score.
