BUCCANEERS have won their first game of the season at the twelfth attempt in Division 3 of the Bridgwater Town and District Skittle League.

They won by five pins at Bridgwater Rugby Club against Rebels. Pigeon Shooters, top of the league, won by 42 at the Market, Cupid Stunts by 16 at home (Lloyd Davey 80), and Athelney by 34 at the Commercial.

In Division 1, B&A’s won by 72 with 558 at Sydenham Centre, Sam Dennison 85, Breakaways by 13 at home to Generators, APS by 14 at the Harvest Moon, Googlies by 16 at home and 37 Club by 52 at home with 519.

Travellers top Division 2, winning by 53 at the Blake Arms.

Naps B won by 11 at home to Young Flags, Doorknockers by 35 against Daydreamers at the British Flag, Knowle Inn by 22 at Bawrip.

Hazelnuts are three points clear at the top of Division 4 – they won by 41 at Stags with 516. George Inn A won by 63 at the Sedgemoor Inn, Boldy’s Army by 28 at the Castle Club, while Jerry Builders won only their second game of the season by seven at the Bird in Hand.

There were wins in Division 5 for Admirals, by seven at the Crown Inn, Non Starters by five at the Railway Club and Villistines by 38 at the King’s Head.
