WINTER has certainly arrived and, with the recent heavy rainfall, river levels have risen, making life difficult for the dedicated river angler.
The good news is that the still waters have really switched on after such a dry autumn.
For the big carp angler, Combwich main lake continues to produce ever bigger fish with another two 30lb fish coming to the bank, and a lot of high 20s to back them.
This really is fast becoming the South West’s number one open access carp water, once you purchase your club permit that’s it, no further costs, hidden fees, or waiting lists.
Dunwear is also fishing really well with the everreliable North Pond turning up decent carp and plenty of silvers.
Senior is a bream paradise – there are some huge fish in big numbers but you need to put a lot of bait in to get them going.
Finally, just to remind everyone about litter: take it home – you brought it with you, full, surely it’s not too hard to take it home empty
