Bridgwater College 34 SGS College II 84

BRIDGWATER College slumped to a 50-point defeat at the hands of SGS College.

Team BC couldn’t find their feet in the first quarter and it soon ran away from them 23-4.

The second quarter was much closer with Jack Williams hitting two of his three three-pointers and four other players on the score sheet, resulting in a 20-17 scoreline and a half-time score of 43-21 to SGS.

SGS started the second half by raising their intensity again and increased their lead, and it was surprising that there were only eight fouls for each team.

SGS showed their experience by playing to the whistle and benefited from the intense approach.

Head coach Rich Anderson, said: “SGS scored nine three-pointers in the game and had a high percentage from the floor.

“They had a really good shooting game on the day, and that, coupled with their strong defence and ability to play to the whistle, was too much for us today.”
