COMPETITORS from KJ2 Brazilian Jui Jitsu team headed down to Cornwall for the Newquay Open BJJ competition.
It was a gi (kimono) and no gi competition all in a single day, with some top competitors from all over the country arriving.
Both Andrew Kirk and Tim Brigden came away double medal winners, with Tim winning silver in both catagories respectively.
Andrew won silver in the gi and then won the final of the no gi with a submission, earning him the gold.
Both train under Nathan More-Pointing, out of Pedro Bessa bjj at KJ2 Bridgwater on Thursdays at 8pm.
The club continue to have success in all areas of martial arts and Tim is fighting on October 25, in Weston super mare for the TFC amateur English lightweight MMA title
