Bridgwater College 44, Strode College 22
BRIDGWATER College had an emphatic 22-point victory over Strode College.
The centre court were focused, and good communication between Alisha Gardener (C) and Laura Gibson (WD) produced early turnovers, allowing Team BC to take the lead in the first quarter with the score 10-6 at quarter-time.
The second quarter gave the team a chance to put further points on the board and make it harder for Strode to stay in contention. Fast movement within the attacking circle from Amy Knight (GA), coupled with Aerin Phillips (GS) success at holding her space, allowed the ball to be fed into the circle effectively, leaving the score 16–10 at half-time.
Strode started to apply more pressure in the third quarter, working hard to gain tips and force errors throughout the court.
This lead to a close quarter but good shooting from Charlie Gilbert (GS) helped to maintain the 6-point gap, with Team BC maintaining their lead at 26-20.
All players worked hard in the last quarter, none more so than Jessie Venning (WA), which helped Team BC to widen the gap.
