FARMER Boys are now the only unbeaten team in Division 1 of the Puriton & District Skittles League.

They ran out 59-pin winners at Crown Jewels with Ash Harrison hitting 75 ably supported by Scott Puddy with 72. The home team’s Colin Nutman was in form again with 72.

Wasters suffered their first loss of the season at Stop-Outs by nine.

Nomads hit the joint highest score of the night with 508 at home to Barstewards. Dave Quick and Lyndon Coombes both hit 69 for the away team and Russ Burt got it for the victors, only to be outdone by his team mate Phil Coggins, with 71.

Somerset Vaults got their third consecutive win, league Chairman John Hill once again starring with another 69, as they defeated Woolavington Boys by 50.

Pirates had the biggest win of the night with a 62-pin defeat of Polden Turkeys.

Once again, 69 was hit, this time by Pirates captain Roger Palfrey, but he again was pipped by Liam Birch with 70.

In Division 2, Odds & Sods have taken a onepoint lead after a narrow two-pin win at Ruggerites.

Oddsquad lost their unbeaten record with a home defeat to Swannies in the clash of the two teams that play at Sexeys Arms, Blackford.
