AS the summer season draws to a close the penultimate week shows some division winners already in the bag and others fighting for the title in the Bridgwater & District Summer Skittles League.

Riff Raff are the current leaders, but play Outs & Ins next week to decide the final result.

Birdies are untouchable in the Main Division and the only battle is for second place - whilst Gamblers are runaway leaders in the Premier Division, three teams – Matchmakers, Limeys and Gentle Giants – are bidding for second place.

In the Mixed Divisions, Wild West are the leaders, but Mixtures and Rebellions are close on their heels and in contention to take the title.

The Bluebell Division is headed by Radishes and a final away win will seal it but Trumpeters lying in second place could take the title if they win at home against Nobs & Nockers and Radishes are defeated.

Mixed Bunch (Brunettes) have clinched the title as second place Jack & Jills have a bye on their last game (see note below).

Cornhill Division leaders Split Happens have dominated and cannot be caught.

Ladies Champions Division Patsy’s Pussies have a three-point lead - and next week’s games will decide the winner between them and second place Cannon Girls, who play their last game away to Flopperettes.

Tension is high in the Emeralds Division as current leaders Twiglets and second place El Syd vie for the title.

Last week’s leaders in the Pearls Division Global Girls have dropped to second place by Generations who have a one-point lead after a 29 pin win at home.

Rubies leaders Spares have clinched the title with 29 points and the competition is now set to decide second place between Louby Lou’s and Bobby’s Team.
