Hull's club captain Lee Radford has ended speculation over his future by signing a new two-year contract.
The 31-year-old back-row forward, who had been linked with a move to Super League neighbours Hull KR, will coach the Black and Whites' Under-15s team as part of his new deal, which will take him to the end of the 2012 season.
"Lee Radford is a loyal club man," said Hull head coach Richard Agar. "He is a player that is consistent and plays lots of minutes for us. His experience in leadership is invaluable to the group and I am delighted to have Lee's influence within our squad."
Radford, who captained Hull on their Challenge Cup final appearance two years ago, has made 161 appearances in two spells for his home-town club and has missed only two matches this season.
"Obviously I am delighted to have secured my future with Hull FC," he said.
"I have really enjoyed my rugby this year and, when you look at the additions we have made to this year's squad and Richard's plans for the future, it really excites me and I want to be part of that squad, challenging for honours."
