Salford playmaker Daniel Holdsworth will not play again this season after deciding to undergo shoulder surgery.
The 26-year-old former Canterbury man, Salford's stand-out player this season, is to have the operation on Wednesday after failing to shake off the problem.
"It's a bit disappointing but the doctor said 'just keep playing as long as it's not too painful'. It's been pulling up all right but against Bradford it wasn't too good," he told BBC Manchester.
Holdsworth, who signed a three-year contract extension earlier in the season, has made 20 appearances for the Reds this season.
