RHODE Lane Wanderers Football Club held its end of season awards evening at Hamp Junior School in Bridgwater on Friday.

Around 140 trophies were handed out to girls and boys who play in the club’s various youth sections, from the under sixes to the under 16s.

The club has recently appointed a new chairman, Garvey Francis, following a gap of several months without anybody at the helm.

New players are sought for the club’s under-six side. Anybody interested in registering a child can phone Dave Ricketts on 01278-420485.
