WATERLOGGED pitches postponed games in the Silver Street Volkswagen Taunton and District Saturday Football League, but there was plenty of table movement for the teams that played.
Stogursey finally played their round three match against Barwick and Stoford, but they crashed out losing 4-0 away.
In Division One the big win of the division was at Dulverton where the home side entertained bottom of the table Cannington Colts.
With Dulverton looking to close the gap on leaders Highbridge, Cannington completely upset the league form by trouncing them 7-2 and moved themselves three places up the table. Darren Hill hit a hatrick with further goals from James Bawden (2), Mark Pope and the veteran Robbie Fearn. Cannington also gifted Dulverton an own goal and Mark Oram grabbed the other.
Meanwhile, Porlock beat Middlezoy 3-2 thanks to goals from Gary Bennett (2) and Adam Langdon helped. Scott Clapp and Sean Turner scored for Middlezoy.
With Predators out of action in Division Two, a win for Bridgwater Sports Reserves would have moved them back to the top of the table - and that is exactly what they did with a hard fought win over a spirited Watchet Reserves.
After a goalless first half, John Richards put Sports ahead after an hour, and five minutes later Benjamin Fellows made it 2-0. A late Warren Jones goal made the last five minutes very tense for Sports but they held on to take the points.
In Division Three, the only game to survive the weather was North Petherton's, who jumped from fifth to top after to a 5-1 victory over Norton Fitzwarren. Craig Wright struck twice with the other goals coming from Brady Hart, Lewis Irish and Ben Howell. James Garrad scored Norton's only goal.
Porlock Reserves beat North Petherton Reserves 6-1 to go second in the table in Division Four. Five players scored for Porlock, Leigh Knowles, Mark Gunn, Paul Swallow, Paul Cuthbertson, Matt Knowles and an own goal made the sixth. Petherton's reply came from George Lowe.
Dulverton Reserves kept up their promotion interests beating Nether Stowey Reserves 2-0 thanks to two goals from Lee Hooper. In the final game of the day, missed chances from Milverton proved costly again as they eventually lost 4-1 to Hamilton Hawks. Ross Sweeney scored Milverton's only goal of the game from the spot and goals from Ben Stark, Clive Gamblin, Will Stevens and Kris Sangster moving Hawks into fouth place.
