Cricket: Bridgwater 'A' finish season on a high

Bridgwater retained their status in the top division of the Taunton Sunday League with a 159-run win over Chard, who picked up enough points from the match to win the title.

Bridgwater chose to bat first and amassed 350-5 off their 40 overs with Liam Kitch 113, Mike Coles 68, Scott Sealey 46no, Chris Skidmore 37, Mitch Windsor 35 and Ben Coombes 22, scoring the runs.

In reply, Chard were held to 191-9 by a steady display from Bridgwater’s young bowling attack.
