THE 2nds produced a great performance to defeat the division leaders Bath at their own ground on Saturday.
Bridgwater were asked to bat first, and lost openers Mitch Windsor and skipper Scott Sealey early on, with the score 23-2 in the seventh over.
Young Liam Kitch then showed promise in his brief innings before he was undone by a yorker, having scored 15.
Andrew Skidmore and Darryl Cocks then stabilised the innings in a fourth wicket stand of 34.
However, from a relatively comfortable 75-3 after 20 overs, Bridgwater collapsed to 75-6, with Skidmore, Cocks and Ben Whitemore all being dismissed.
Tom Clarke (12) and Ed Habberfield then put on 21, before Clarke was caught behind, before Habberfield and new batsman Scott Clapp shared a match-winning stand of 69.
Habberfield was eventually undone by Stu Priscott’s left-arm spin, after scoring 42 off 69 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
Aussie Tim Gogoll then added a useful 23 off 12 balls, and Clapp finished unbeaten on 33 from 42 balls.
Bath started their reply in aggressive fashion, but Bridgwater made an early breakthrough when Gogoll clean bowled Ted Roe for eight.
Gogoll then picked up two more wickets to leave Bath struggling on 60-3.
The experienced Priscott looked to steady the Bath ship, until Gogoll had him caught behind by Windsor.
Habberfield then replaced Cocks, who had bowled a tidy spell of seam, and picked up two quick wickets; at 100-6 after 27 overs, the game was in the balance.
Chris Singleton, fresh from Somerset under-17 duty then began a spell of excellent seam bowling, picking up three wickets, including the dangerous Dorgan, brilliantly caught and bowled.
Bath’s last-wicket pair were left needing 51 off nine, and they came close, but Gogoll had the final say, clean bowling Alex Muse in the penultimate over, to finish with 5-56.
The club thanked umpire Raymond Windsor, scorer Chris Cowley, match travel sponsors Falcon Vehicle Solutions and Dean Motors and match ball sponsors TMB Patterns LTD.
