BRIDGWATER Cricket Club rounded off the 2015 season at its annual dinner and dance presentation evening, held at the town’s Bar 27 on October 24.
The evening honoured the season’s top performers and over 100 guests, including sponsors, committee, vice presidents, players and supporters were treated to a five course meal and the evening was expertly hosted by club chairman Andy Wood.The chairman opened the meeting by welcoming all guests and thanking them for their support throughout 2015. A minutes silence was held in memory of Dave 'Peanut' Pople, Luke Buckingham and Ashley Doyle of Uphill Castle CC who had all passed away recently.
A special thank you was given to the catering team led by Vera Steed, the Grounds conveyner Andrew Higgins and bar manager's Norah Lewis and Annabelle.
The club and chairman also showed appreciation to its main sponsor PAW Engineering, match ball sponsor TMB Patterns Ltd and match travel sponsors, Falcon Vehicle Solutions and Higos Insurance Services LTD to name just a few.
Club coaches, umpires and scorers were also thanked for their volunteering efforts as well as the hard working committee.
