Shapwick & Polden 3s 276-9 beat Mark 67 by 209 runs
A CENTURY from Sam Patey and four wickets from Russ Edwards inspired Shapwick & Polden 3s to a commanding 209-run victory over Mark on Saturday.
Patey scored 101 for the hosts as they amassed 276-9 from 45 overs, with Liam Darlington (57) adding a swift half-century in the middle order.
David Ewbank (25) and Will Pope (21) also chipped in to fire Shapwick to an imposing total.
Sam Tinklin (4-54) and Josh Barwell (2-29) were the pick of the Mark bowlers.
The Mark reply never really got going, as the opening attack of James Hedges (3-28) and Edwards (4-20) left the top order in tatters.
The top four of Sam Mason (4), Phil Lock (6), Lee Neilson (4) and Tim Lewis (9) all fell for single figures, as the new ball partnership put Shapwick in pole position.
Barwell (21no) and Sam Tinklin (10) were the only Mark players to make it into double figures, as Will Pope (2-3) and Cameron Birch (1-13) finished the job for Shapwick.
Mark were eventually bowled out for 67 in just 28 overs.
