WEPL 2nd XI Premier 1 - Ashcott & Shapwick II 93 lost to Bath II 96-6 by 4 wkts
ASHCOTT and Shapwick II ended their season with a four-wicket defeat at home to Bath.
Batting first, they got off to a poor start, finding themselves at 34-5 after 12 overs and only managing to score 93 before being all out.
Mark Higgs, with 28, was the only batsman to reach double figures.
Bath started quickly in reply, scoring 30 in the first three overs.
But Bill Smith (3-40) and Josh Luckins (2-29) shared five wickets to raise Ashcott hopes, before a flurry of boundaries from Alex Wright saw them home with four wickets to spare.
